SWECO Grøner acquires Norwegian E-CO Tech

SWECO’s Norwegian subsidiary SWECO Grøner has signed an agreement to acquire the energy and environmental consulting firm E-CO Tech, with the change of ownership on 1 January 2006.

E-CO Tech has 36 employees and is a wholly owned subsidiary of the E-CO Energi group. E-CO Tech is a provider of qualified energy and environmental services catering primarily to companies in the energy sector.

”This move is a step in our strategy to grow. The acquisition will strengthen our position in the energy sector and make us the Norwegian market-leader in consulting services for power transmission,” says Vibecke Hverven, Managing Director of SWECO Grøner.

SWECO Grøner is one of Norway’s leading engineering consultancies and has 450 employees. The company provides consulting services in the fields of Energy, Environment & Water Resources, Transportation & Civil Engineering and Building Service Systems.

Earlier this year, SWECO Grøner acquired the consulting firms of Lassen & Bjervig and P.Å Elektro Forum.
