Sweco’s head office in Stockholm is undergoing renovation, led by Sweco’s own experts, with a strong focus on reducing its climate footprint and creating an inspiring, collaborative workplace.

Three facts about the historical building

Solar panels on the roof collect energy from the sun and 280-metre deep boreholes in the ground are used for seasonal storage of heating and cooling.
A special challenge during renovating was that the building’s exterior is a registered cultural heritage site, meaning no changes that can affect its external appearance can be made.
Energy consumption in the property has been reduced by 70 percent since the renovation in 2010-2012.
