SWECO has acquired the Lithuanian company LSPI with 120 employees. Following the acquisition, SWECO has a total of 160 employees in Lithuania and is thereby the country’s largest engineering consultancy.

SWECO’s Lithuanian subsidiary SWECO BKG, with 40 employees, has acquired more than 70 per cent of LSPI to form a new market-leading company. The new company will offer qualified consulting services in areas such as water and environment, structural engineering, infrastructure, energy and building service systems.

“The acquisition represents an additional step in our focus on the growth markets of Central and Eastern Europe. We now have a market-leading position in Lithuania. In view of the demand for consultant services in the Baltic states, this will strengthen our position and our platform for ongoing growth in this region,” says Per Johansson, Managing Director of SWECO Eastern Europe.
