Sweco acquires Belgian consulting company BUUR

Sweco has signed an agreement to acquire BUUR, specialised in climate adaptation, urban planning and landscape architecture.

“BUUR is a very good match for Sweco and will further strengthen our offering to clients with services for climate adaptation and design of sustainable cities. I would like to welcome our new colleagues to Sweco”, says Åsa Bergman, President and CEO of Sweco.

BUUR was founded in 2006 and has a strong reputation in the Belgian market with expertise focusing on urban planning, landscape architecture, infrastructure design and mobility studies. BUUR has over 60 employees working from offices in Leuven, Ghent, Antwerp and Brussels. In the financial year ending 30 June 2020, BUUR had a revenue of EUR 4.5 million.
