SWECO’s environmental consultants win award in Russia
SWECO’s environmental consulting unit in Russia has been presented with an award by the country’s Ministry of Construction for its success in adapting to the country’s new economic conditions.
”The award won by our Russian subsidiary Lenvodokanalproekt will further enhance our reputation in Russia and increase our opportunities to win new contracts and clients,” says Per Johansson, Managing Director of SWECO Eastern Europe.
The Russian consulting industry has undergone dramatic changes in the past few years and many companies have not survived this process. The Russian Ministry of Construction, a government administration that is responsible for all construction and consulting operations in the country, feels that Lenvodokanalproekt has succeeded well in modernising and adapting to the country’s new economic conditions while at the same time maintaining very high quality standards in its services.
”Every year the Ministry of Construction presents awards to consulting firms around the country. The award is proof that our environmental efforts are working and is naturally a feather in our cap,” says Per Johansson.
Lenvodokanalproekt is based in Saint Petersburg and currently has 110 employees. The company is active nationwide and is the market-leading provider of water and environmental services in northwestern Russian. One of the company’s most notable recent projects is a contract to inspect the water and sewerage systems in the city of Petrozavodsk in northwest Russia.
