SWECO to boost competitiveness of SMEs in Tunisia

October 31, 2005 | Press release

SWECO has been commissioned to improve operating efficiency and optimise production in a number of small and medium-sized enterprises in Tunisia. The contract is worth nearly EUR 420,000.

”We have been active in Tunisia for the past ten years, mainly in consulting assignments with an environmental focus. The Tunisian Department of Energy and Industry has decided to launch a national initiative aimed at raising standards among the countries industrial companies, and we have been asked to contribute our expertise in this area,” says Mikael Kullman, Overseas Manager at SWECO.

Over the next three years SWECO will provide expert advice on technical maintenance to CETIME, the Technical Centre for Mechanical and Electric Industries. CETIME was established in 1982 and one of its tasks is to support development of Tunisia’s manufacturing industries by raising their production standards and increasing their competitiveness. The assignment is being funded by Sida, the Swedish Agency for International Development Cooperation.
