SWECO plans new satellite town in China

SWECO will prepare the master plan for a new commercial district in Tianjin New Town, a mix-used development 120 km southeast of Beijing. The client is Tianjin Real Estate Development Group.

Tianjin is one of China’s fastest-growing industrial centres for petroleum, aircraft manufacture, chemicals and pharmaceuticals. Tianjin New Town district is being created to accommodate the city’s growth and ongoing development. SWECO FFNS will design the structure of the city core and the new commercial district for a population of 50,000 people on an area of 9 square kilometres.

The client is Tianjin Real Estate Development Group, one of the largest property developer in Tianjin. SWECO FFNS has previously carried out projects in Shanghai, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Tianjin, Shenyang and Beijing.
