SWECO subsidiary PIC Engineering has signed an agreement to acquire Finnish consulting company Kemira Engineering from the chemical group Kemira.

Kemira Engineering Oy has 70 employees, an annual turnover of 5 million euros and is currently Kemira’s internal consulting company specialised in advanced technical consulting services within the chemical industry.

“The acquisition means that we are increasing our know-how in the chemical area and at the same time strengthening our position within the process industry,” advises Lauri Hintikka, Managing Director for PIC Engineering.

PIC Engineering has been part of the SWECO group since the end of 2003 and is one of Finland’s leading industrial consulting companies with approximately 900 employees. The company offers consulting services within the process industry, manufacturing industry, electronics and marine technology.
The Kemira group is an international supplier and producer of, for example, chemicals for paper manufacture. The group has an annual turnover of 2.7 billion euros.
