Sweco tops European Gender Diversity Index
Sweco was ranked sixth out of 668 companies in the European Women on Boards (EWOB) Gender Diversity Index 2021. The companies, amongst the largest in Europe, were studied for their gender diversity at leadership and executive company levels.
“Sweco has once again been recognised by the European Women on Boards for having gender-balanced governance. Sweco ranks first in Sweden and sixth on the list of 668 European companies in the European Women on Boards Gender Diversity Index Report 2021. For Sweco to be selected again shows how we as a company work towards our goal to be the best at everything we do. We at Sweco are part of transforming society and this award shows how we stand out in gender diversity too,” says Helene Hasselskog, Chief Human Resources Officer at Sweco.
This is the third year that European Women on Boards (EWOB) in collaboration with Kantar Public, has presented the Gender Diversity Index (GDI) Report, the yearly study of gender representation in boards and at executive company levels of the largest European companies. The in-depth research looks at who is at the top of the largest listed companies from 19 countries, and how the representation of women is evolving year after year. Each company in the study is allocated an index, the Gender Diversity Index (GDI), which allows countries and companies to be compared, and offers understanding of individual companies’ performance and measures progress compared to the previous year’s results.
