Sweco is supporting the DUT programme by creating a database of best-practice cases that addresses the circular urban economy. Data collection will take place during 2023-2024 and serves to accelerate the circular urban economy across European cities and towns.

 

What is the Driving Urban Transitions Partnership (DUT)?

DUT is an intergovernmental research and innovation programme that addresses key challenges of urban transition. With 67 partners from 28 countries, the DUT Partnership addresses the challenges European cities face in their endeavour to become sustainable and enhance the quality of life for their citizens.

The aim of the programme is to enhance European efforts towards urban challenges and enable authorities, researchers, municipalities, companies and residents to translate global strategies into local initiatives. It focuses on three key urban transition topics: circular urban economy, the 15-minute city and positive energy districts.

The DUT Partnership also contributes substantially to the EU Mission Climate-neutral and Smart Cities, the European Green Deal and the Urban Agenda for the EU.,
