Sweco brings circular neighbourhoods to life at the New European Bauhaus Festival
As Europe gathers in Brussels for the New European Bauhaus (NEB) Festival, Sweco is hosting a one-day public satellite event that is aiming to explore approaches to advancing climate-neutral, circular neighbourhoods through collaborative dialogue and hands on workshops.
On Thursday 11 June, urban leaders, architects, engineers, researchers and policymakers from across Europe will meet at the Sweco Urban Insight Lab in central Brussels. Together, they will explore how cities can move from ambition to action — sharing project experiences, tools and lessons learned from cities such as from Stockholm, Brussels, Paris, Ghent to drive urban sustainability.
Event highlights:
- European city perspectives on climate neutral and circular neighbourhoods
- Keynotes on adaptive reuse, circular economy models and community-building through architecture and urban planning
- Interactive workshops on neighbourhood transformation, digital twins and capacity-building. Networking at the Sweco Urban Insight Lab.
- A mix of plenary sessions (also online) and on-site collaborative workshops.
Organised in collaboration with EU-funded projects SEEDS, NexTArc and HeriTace, the event combines inspiring keynotes, hands-on workshops and interactive dialogue, all rooted in Sweco’s Urban Insight approach: connecting knowledge, people and places to accelerate sustainable urban transformation.
