Acquisitions and divestments
Sweco continuously strengthens its market position and capabilities primarily through strategic acquisitions, while also refining its portfolio by targeted divestments. These actions reflect our commitment to sustainable growth and value creation—securing expertise in key segments, and optimising our business where needed.
Acquisition strategy
Sweco’s growth strategy is built on continuous, selective acquisitions. Over the past two decades, Sweco has completed more than 160 acquisitions—strengthening its geographical presence, service offering and technical expertise.
Acquisitions are guided by two main objectives: to reinforce or establish market-leading positions, and to develop the company’s offering with complementary, niche or specialised competence. Sweco focuses on economically strong markets, where professional, geographical and cultural fit are essential. All acquired companies are integrated into Sweco’s organisation and operate under the Sweco brand.
