Sweco awarded framework agreements by Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida)

November 27, 2025 | Press release

Sweco has signed three framework agreements with the Swedish government agency Sida. The agreements cover consulting services for sustainable transport, responsible mining, renewable energy and energy efficiency, with a focus on sustainable development and international collaboration in low- and middle-income countries. The total maximum order value for Sweco is 140 million SEK and the agreements extend for two years.

Sida is the government agency that manages Sweden’s international aid and development programmes, working to reduce poverty and promote sustainable development around the world.

“Sweco has had a good cooperation with Sida over the years and has participated in several development projects. We look forward to continuing to contribute our experience and expertise to strengthen public services and improve infrastructure where it is needed”, says Ann-Louise Lökholm Klasson, Business Area President, Sweco Sweden.

The new framework agreements align with Sida’s operational strategy to improve living conditions for people facing poverty and oppression. The agreements can be used by Sida centrally and by Swedish embassies in Sida’s partner countries to rapidly obtain technical support and expert assistance.

The agreements have a total maximum order value of 140 million SEK over two years from 2025, with the option to extend for an additional two years. Sweco was selected among several qualified competitors and ranked first in the technical evaluations across all three framework agreements.
