Sweco has signed an agreement to acquire the Swedish consultancy firm AdviceU, specialised in renewal of IT systems and IT management. The acquisition is part of Sweco’s expansion of its digital services offering.

“We find ourselves in the middle of an information revolution, where advanced IT solutions are playing an increasingly important role in shaping tomorrow’s sustainable cities and communities. The addition of AdviceU strengthens our expertise within IT-centric management and business development, and we can guide our clients through their entire digitalisation journey, from early stages to management. Sweco’s digitalisation operations are among Sweden’s most innovative within IT consultancy, data management and digital communication,” says Ann-Louise Lökholm Klasson, President of Sweco Sweden.

“We are delighted to welcome AdviceU into our fold. Together, we become even stronger within digitalisation and we can offer our clients a full-service package that includes data security and senior digital leaders. This is one step on the path to further developing our operations and it goes hand in hand with our growth journey,” says Christina Skogster Stange, Division Manager for Digital Services at Sweco Sweden.

AdviceU was founded in 2008 and has 27 employees based in Stockholm, Gothenburg, Umeå, Örnsköldsvik and Sundsvall.

“Joining Sweco is a key step for us and we have identified significant opportunities for both our clients and employees. We share the same values and both work with digital renewal. Sweco’s platform will enable us to strengthen the support we offer to our clients,” says Petter Ulander, Managing Director of AdviceU.
