HEAD OF DEPARTMENT TRANSPORTATION & WATER SOUTH

My professional career at Sweco began 18 years ago as a project engineer in the municipal water industry. Back then it was still the engineering firm Andreas Endres.

Today, as head of department, I assume responsibility for more than 40 employees and contribute to the further development of our business line.

In the course of arranging the company takeover, it was very important for my former boss to transfer his owner-managed office, with all his mostly long-serving employees, into good hands. In 2011, he found the ideal partner for a successful integration in Grontmij GmbH, which later became Sweco. A modern, reputable company that was already far ahead of the more conservative engineering industry in many areas: a modern management style, progressive mindset, flexible working hours, home office, a variety of social benefits, and a wide range of continuing education and training opportunities. In summary, I can still say with a clear conscience: At Sweco, people always come first! And right now in the middle of the coronavirus crisis, this is absolutely evident again.

In addition to my duties as head of department, I am currently able to take part in several modules in the internal management program Sweco Plus. As well as the opportunity to develop myself here personally, I value the exchange and networking with colleagues from different business lines, departments and, above all, other regions.

Sweco combines the advantages of a large company with the benefits of small companies, due to the decentralised structure and regionality. We are close to the customer without any bureaucracy and can offer all our engineering services from a single source, with our experts in Germany and abroad, even in the case of difficult problems.
