Sweco performs road & railway planning and design work with both large and small projects. Sweco is involved in assignments ranging from private road & railways in conjunction with real estate developments to the country’s largest infrastructure projects, as well as being engineering advisor for PPP financed road & railway projects.

Our Company group’s combined size and high level of competence often results in Sweco being granted the trust from our Clients to participate in project from feasibility studies throughout the construction phase and final hand-over.

Within road & railway planning and design, our team members work with feasibility studies and tender document and detailed design as well as operational and maintenance management.

Sweco’s Project Managers are responsible for the basic decision making data and complete tender documents, as well as design for the construction of road projects.

In addition, Sweco works with the design of structural components and foundations taking into account the prevailing geotechnical conditions, such as planning in development vicinities for residential and industrial areas.

Sweco’s high level of road engineering skills derived from our home markets have taken us around the world, performing road engineering assignment in Africa, Latin-America Asia and Eastern Europe for all the large multi-lateral banks.
