Landscape architecture

Nature is a limited resource and Sweco’s landscape architects play the most important role in shaping outdoor environments. Our specialists unite good aesthetics with environmental consideration, high comfort and functionality. Their mission is to create green spaces, where respect is taken to all living elements.
Sweco’s landscape architects work across a wide range of areas, studying and planning everything from city districts and blocks to individual streets, parks and plazas. We create innovative solutions for public and residential spaces, but also environments for play, education and care. Our work is highly specialised and closely integrated with technical disciplines such as building architecture, road planning and storm water engineering.

Assignments in landscape architecture are often focused on predicting and evaluating the consequences of interventions in the external environment, and can include environmental impact assessments (EIA), environmental audits, design programmes and landscape analyses.
