Sweco present in Durban for UN’s climate conference

11/28/2011

On the 28th November, the United Nations’ climate conference COP17 starts in Durban, South Africa. Among the thousands of delegates are Martina Rosén and Daniel Persson from Sweco. They will be blogging about the climate conference and monitor what happens on site.

When this year’s big climate conference opens in South Africa, it is not only politicians, diplomats and thousands of journalists that gather in Durban. The global issues about the climate and sustainable solutions that will be discussed in the conference are also interesting and important for companies. That’s why Sweco’s employees in South Africa, Martina Rosén and Daniel Persson, are present. They are living in Pretoria and working in the southern parts of Africa, primarily with Sweco’s environmental services.

“We are here to learn more by participating in seminars and other side events during the climate conference – there are hundreds to choose from. For example, I will join a seminar about how climate neutral cities can be created. We will also talk about what Sweco can offer when it comes to climate issues and make new business contacts”, says Martina Rosén, environmental engineer at Sweco.

Martina and Daniel will also blog about their experiences from the conference.
