Sweco in place for climate talks in Copenhagen

Sweco will showcase its expertise in environmental engineering in connection with the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen this December.

In December the city of Copenhagen, Denmark, is hosting the UN’s major Climate Change Conference, COP 15. The goal of the conference is for all countries to join forces in reaching an ambitious global climate agreement.

In connection with COP 15 Copenhagen will also be the site of Bright Green, where Sweco will be represented. Bright Green is a parallel event at which companies from around the world will gather to exhibit their most innovative solutions for addressing climate change.

“In December the eyes of the entire world will be on Copenhagen and it is vital that Sweco is there to demonstrate our contributions to sustainable development,” says Eva Nygren, President of Sweco Sweden.

Sweco Sweden will be part of the Swedish Trade Council’s collective stand to market Swedish environmental engineering. Sweco Norway will take part in the Norwegian stand in a similar manner.

Facts about Bright Green and COP 15

Bright Green Expo is an international environmental engineering expo that will take place on 12-13 December in Copenhagen. The expo will be held as a parallel event to the UN’s 15th Climate Change Conference, COP15.

COP15 will be held in Copenhagen on 7-18 December. The goal of the conference is to reach a new global climate agreement to replace the Kyoto Protocol.
