Sweco at ITS World Congress

21-25 September marks the date of the world’s largest conference on Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) at Stockholm International Fairs in Stockholm, Sweden. Sweco will participate with several different activities during the 5-day event.

“Sweco will have a stand in the exhibition hall where visitors can meet representatives from Sweco, see demonstrations of a few of our ITS projects or relax over a cup of coffee,” says Christian Udin from Sweco.

ITS is about how different IT solutions can open up new opportunities for transport. By using innovative solutions, it is possible to reduce negative transport impacts such as congestion and environmental destruction.

Sweco will also take part in several other stands and demonstrations during the congress. Among other things, Sweco will lead an effort to create a miniature Sweden, an Experience Park, outside the exhibition hall where visitors can test a number of ITS services, either on foot or as passengers.

Parallel to the congress, Sweco will hold a series of sessions to present the results of several ITS projects. The congress is expected to attract around 5,000 visitors. On Friday the exhibition hall will be open to the public, so this is your chance to visit Stockholm International Fairs and learn more about what Sweco is doing in the field of ITS and test different ITS services.
