Audit and auditors
The auditors are appointed by the Annual General Meeting every fourth year. The task of the auditors, on behalf of the shareholders, is to examine the company’s accounting records and annual report and the administration of the company by the Board of Directors and the President.
The auditing firm of PricewaterhouseCoopers AB (PwC) was re-elected by the 2008 Annual General Meeting to serve as Sweco’s auditor until the end of the 2012 Annual General Meeting. Auditor in charge is Authorised Public Accountant Lennart Danielsson. For the financial year 2010, fees for auditing services amounted to SEK 3.3 million and for non-auditing services to SEK 3.7 million. In 2009, fees for non-auditing services amounted to SEK 0.8 million. Aside from auditing services, Sweco has consulted PwC on various matters related to financial accounting and mergers. Furthermore, PwC has performed due diligence assessments in connection with acquisitions. The amount of fees paid to all accounting firms in shown in Swecos Annual Report 2010, note 4 on page 59.
