On 7 December the eyes of the world will be focused on Copenhagen and the climate summit COP 15. Sweco will be well represented there by personnel from both Sweden and Norway. A new blog will give you an insight into what's happening both during the build-up and the actual event.
Jonas Svensson
“The objective is to present a realistic picture of what is actually happening in Copenhagen with respect to both the decisions made and the business opportunities that arise”, says Jonas Svensson, who otherwise works with environmental issues for Sweco in Malmö, Sweden.
The summit will take place between 7 - 18 December, and a number of employees from both Sweden and Norway will take it in turns to be on site.
Beate Folkestad Habhab
“Climate issues are on the table as never before, and it will be very interesting to see what comes out of this summit”, says Beate Folkestad Habhab, who works with environmental issues for Sweco in Lysaker, Norway.
The goal of the conference is to reach a new global climate agreement to replace the Kyoto Protocol.
Andreas Gyllenhammar
“I am hoping that Copenhagen will give a clear signal. Sweco is in possession of many of the solutions needed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and as a business we are naturally interested in continuing to contribute to sustainable global development. At the same time, the effects of climate change are with us today, and Sweco is also working with climate adaptation and consequence analysis”, says Andreas Gyllenhammar, who is a newly engaged environment and climate strategist at Sweco Sverige.
